The SWISSE Color Run

Oz Education Early Learning Centres was privileged to take part in the 2015 SWISSE COLOR RUN on the 8th of February! The Color Run, which is also known as the “Happiest 5k on the Planet”, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality.

The Color Run also supports the Ryder-Chesire charity, our Oz Education Team were enthusiastic to run for a great cause! Please see below for an insight of their experiences throughout the day.

” From the minute we stepped foot onto the grounds we could feel the positive vibes from all the people that surrounded us, we were enthusiastic about getting our color on! The environment was great and everyone was happy! We began our 5km run full of energy, each km that we passed, we ran through an array of colored powder, apart from the bad powdered taste in our mouths and the burn in our eyes, the feeling of surpassing another obstacle and having powder thrown at us was great!

During the course of this run, we got to meet a few other participants that we thought would not have taken part in such an event. Their drive, passion and determination to complete such an obstacle was uplifting and inspirational. This event not only called for marathon fanatics, but also for those that wanted to surpass obstacles of their own and prove that they too can make a difference in the world. Alongside us walked children, pregnant women, elderly with their grandchildren and a range of disadvantaged individuals. We were inspired by individuals in wheelchairs, grandmothers chasing their young grandchildren and the couple that communicated about their enthusiasm for crossing another km by using sign language. We all had 3 things in common, we came here to support a charity, get our color on and to be happy! This wonderful event not only brought the community together but has given us a better outlook on life. We are looking forward to another round of color filled chaos in 2016!”
