Daily Hygiene & Cleanliness Practices
Professional Cleaning & Daily Sanitation
All rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and play areas are sanitised daily and in addition, professionally cleaned weekly — with extra attention to high-touch surfaces and shared items.
On-the-Spot Cleaning by Educators
Our team maintains hygiene throughout the day by sanitising toys, wiping surfaces, and following strict nappy change and toileting procedures in line with health guidelines.
Hand Hygiene Protocols for All
Children and educators follow handwashing routines before meals, after bathroom use, outdoor play, and when entering or exiting the centre.
Illness & Infection Control Management
Clear Exclusion Guidelines
We follow NSW/VIC Health Department guidelines on when children should stay home, and for how long, to prevent the spread of illness.
Rapid Response to Symptoms
If a child becomes unwell while in our care, we act quickly to contact families, isolate the child safely and comfortably, and implement cleaning protocols.
Communication with Families
You’ll be informed immediately of any illness affecting your child, and we notify families promptly when there are confirmed cases of contagious illness within the centre.
Nutrition & Immune Support
Fresh, Nutritious Meals
We provide healthy meals and snacks all day , tailored to age groups and dietary needs. Our menus are dietitian-approved to support energy and immunity.
Hydration Encouraged All Day
Children are reminded and supported to drink water regularly, especially during warmer months or high-activity periods.
Allergy-Aware Environment
We take allergies seriously, with individualised allergy and anaphylaxis plans, allergen-free food handling, and staff trained in emergency response.
Health Education for Children
Hygiene Habits Built Into Learning
We teach children healthy habits — from washing hands to covering sneezes — in fun, age-appropriate ways that promote independence and responsibility.
Safe Outdoor Play
We ensure daily outdoor play in well-maintained spaces, with sun safety policies (including hats, sunscreen and shaded areas) in place year-round.
Calm, Restful Spaces
Our nap areas are clean, well-ventilated, and designed for restorative rest — essential to growing bodies and immune systems.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing for All
Parent Communication
We keep our early learners fit, healthy and safe, in partnership with everyone in our community. All parents and caregivers are provided with a detailed copy of our Health & Safety Policies when requested during their tour of the centre or upon enrolment.
Staff Training
Our qualified early childhood educators under take regular training on CPR, First Aid etc, and go the extra mile to support your child’s health and well-being.
Visitors
Our health and safety policies and procedures apply to all visitors as well as, whether they are a new family visiting, allied health practitioners or educators visiting on an incursion. All visitors have access to hand sanitizer available on arrival and departure for all children and families as well as staff.
