Health, Hygiene & Illness Management

Prioritising Your Child's Health

Clean. Safe. Prepared. Because Your Child’s Health Comes First.
At Oz Education, your child’s health, safety and wellbeing are at the centre of everything we do – every day, in every space. We understand that choosing early learning and childcare is about trust, and families need to feel confident that their child is cared for in a clean, safe and nurturing environment.

Through rigorous hygiene standards, proactive health and illness management, and thoughtful daily care practices, we create learning environments designed to protect and support young children’s developing bodies and minds. From hygiene routines and safe sleep practices to nutrition, allergy management and educator training, every decision is guided by your child’s wellbeing.

Daily Hygiene & Cleanliness Practices

Professional Cleaning & Daily Sanitation
All indoor rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and play areas are thoroughly sanitised every day, with professional cleaning conducted weekly. We pay extra attention to high‑touch surfaces, shared resources and frequently used equipment to reduce the spread of germs.

On-the-Spot Cleaning by Educators
Our educators actively maintain cleanliness throughout the day. Toys, learning materials and surfaces are regularly cleaned, and nappy‑changing and toileting procedures strictly follow national and state health guidelines.

Hand Hygiene for Children & Educators
Frequent handwashing is embedded into our daily routines. Children and educators wash hands:

  • Before meals
  • After bathroom use
  • After outdoor play
  • Upon arrival and departure

These habits help protect children’s health while teaching lifelong hygiene skills.

Nutrition for children

We provide healthy meals and snacks all day , tailored to age groups and dietary needs. Our menus are dietitian-approved to support energy and immunity.

Hydration Encouraged All Day

Building Healthy Habits for Life

Hygiene Habits Built Into Learning
We teach children healthy habits – from washing hands to covering sneezes – in fun, age-appropriate ways that promote independence and responsibility.
