With over 10 years of experience in the early childhood education sector, Alana Cotton brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her role as Centre Director at Oz Education Glendale. Having led teams for more than 8 years and serving as a Centre Director for 5 years, Alana is passionate about fostering environments where children, families, and educators thrive.
Alana holds formal training in Early Childhood Teaching and is dedicated to implementing best practices that exceed the National Quality Standards. Her approach centres on creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.
Since joining Oz Education, Alana has focused on building a nurturing and collaborative centre culture. She is committed to the ongoing professional development of her team and believes in supportive leadership that recognises and uplifts every educator.
Outside of work, Alana enjoys spending time with her family and actively contributes to her local community, reflecting her deep commitment to making a positive impact both inside and outside the classroom.

What if my income changes mid-year?
If this is the case, simply update your income estimate in myGov right away to keep your childcare subsidy rate accurate and prevent any large adjustments at the end of the year.
Can I change childcare providers and still keep my CCS?
Yes. The childcare subsidy follows your child. Just confirm your new enrolment when moving to another approved provider, such as another Oz Education Early Learning Centre.
Do I have to be working to qualify for CCS?
Not always. The activity test includes recognised activities like study, job searching, volunteering, or travelling between work and care.
Does having more than one child in care help?
Yes. Families with multiple children may receive a higher subsidy for younger children, reducing total childcare costs.
What is the Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS)?
The ACCS provides extra support for families in hardship, transition, or special circumstances.
How do I apply for CCS and what documents do I need?
You can apply through myGov with proof of income, activity details, and childcare enrolment confirmation.
