A Variety of Fun Sports to Explore
At Oz Education, we offer an exciting and engaging Multisport Program designed to help children develop strong, healthy bodies and positive mindsets. Through regular exposure to a variety of sports, children build confidence, coordination and essential movement skills that support their overall development.
Your child will participate in fun, energetic sport sessions led by trained coaches in small groups. This small‑group approach ensures that every child receives personalised support, encouragement and guidance as they learn new skills and explore different types of physical activity. Sessions typically include:
- A nutritional talk to help children understand the importance of healthy eating
- A warm‑up session to prepare their bodies for movement
- Games and skill‑building activities focused on coordination, balance and teamwork
- Gross motor development exercises, designed to strengthen core movement skills
- Gentle stretches to promote flexibility and relaxation

AFL/ Rugby
AFL/ Rugby combine the best of two sporting codes. Your child will learn how to bounce, catch, kick and pass an oval ball. They will develop locomotor functions such as running, jumping, hopping, galloping, rolling, leaping and dodging. The AFL ball is not round and its bounce will help children increase reflexes and coordination!

Soccer
Children will learn the basic fundamental skills of Soccer through a highly stimulating syllabus. During the program, they will learn fundamental skills to confidently control, dribble, pass and strike the ball, while being challenged with agility and multi-sequence drills.

Basketball
Basketball promotes teamwork, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness and gross motor skills. Your child will learn how to confidently catch and throw a ball. They will progress to dribble a ball and run and jump through a maze of circuit, obstacles and courses to strengthen all areas of development.

Tennis
Tennis improves body coordination, eye-hand coordination, ball-striking skills, agility, gross and fine motor control. Your child will develop greater spatial awareness and improve dynamic balance through several starts, stops, changes of direction and hitting on the run.

Cricket
Cricket will help your child learn the fundamentals of holding a cricket bat and applying hand-eye coordination to strike a cricket ball. Cognitive exercises will help enhance their understanding of numeracy concepts including counting, space and distance, and help them improve memory and concentration.

Hockey
Hockey will help your child improve their locomotor functions and hand eye coordination. Your child will begin to improve their grip of a hockey stick with two hands and manipulate the stick to strike and dribble a hockey puck. This assists in improving their mid line and masters bilateral skills.

Space Ball
Space Ball will boost your child’s agility and hand-eye coordination. Your child will run and adjust their bodies at a rapid pace to throw and land balls on velcro vests. Children will need to coordinate their throws not only with other players’ current location, but also with their anticipated location when the ball lands.

Tee Ball
Tee Ball improves gross motor planning through repetition exercises involving rolling, throwing, catching and hitting. These activities will help your child improve motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and timing. Ball skills are an essential part of the developmental progression.

Athletics
Athletics expose your child to a range of team and individual sports such as relay, racing, javelin and long jump. Through active play, your child develops balance and coordination while gaining confidence and a love for staying active.
