Your Child's Safety Comes First - Always
At Oz Education, nothing is more important than the happiness, safety and wellbeing of your child.
As a family‑owned childcare provider – and parents ourselves – we understand just how much trust you place in us. That trust is never taken lightly. For more than 45 years, our centres have proudly met and maintained the standards of the National Quality Framework (NQF), creating safe, nurturing environments where every child is protected, supported, and valued.
When your child is part of the Oz Education family, you can feel confident knowing their safety is embedded in everything we do – every day.
A Strong Commitment to Child Safety
We go beyond simply meeting regulatory requirements. Child safety is central to our culture, our systems, and our daily practice.
- Safety is built into everything we do – from centre design and daily routines to staff training and ongoing supervision.
- Our educators are extensively trained in child protection, risk management, emergency response, and fostering respectful, caring relationships.
- Clear reporting pathways and robust procedures ensure concerns are identified early and addressed promptly.
- Most importantly, we nurture a culture of openness, care, and respect, where children feel safe, confident, and heard.

Health & Hygiene
Through rigorous hygiene standards, proactive health and illness management, and thoughtful daily care practices, we create learning environments designed to protect and support young children’s developing bodies and minds. From hygiene routines and safe sleep practices to nutrition, allergy management and educator training, every decision is guided by your child’s wellbeing.

Our approach is grounded in best practice and guided by the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This ensures our programs are intentional, inclusive and developmentally appropriate, while remaining responsive to the unique needs of each child and family. Safeguarding Every Child, Every Day
Secure Entry & Collection
Our purpose‑built centres feature secure entry systems and strict drop‑off and pick‑up procedures, ensuring only authorised individuals can access our centres and collect children.
Safe, Supervised Environments
Centres are designed with safety in mind, including gated and fenced outdoor areas, clearly marked emergency exits, and CCTV in key locations to support child safety throughout the day.
Continuous Supervision
Children are actively supervised at all times – indoors, outdoors, during transitions, meals, and rest periods. No child is ever left unattended.
Carefully Managed Educator-to-Child Ratios
We strictly maintain educator‑to‑child ratios, not just to meet regulations, but to ensure each child receives attentive, responsive care at all times.
Daily Health & Safety Checks
Every learning space and outdoor area is inspected daily to identify and address hazards such as loose equipment, trip risks, cleanliness, and safe furniture placement. Our team is trained to act immediately if concerns are identified.
