Cheaper Child Care

At Oz Education, we are committed to providing cheaper child care services at an affordable cost to all families.

From 10 July 2023, if your family earns under $530,000, you’ll get an increased Child Care Subsidy (CCS). The maximum amount of CCS is increasing from 85% to 90% and the CCS percentage you’re entitled to depends on your family’s income as below:

• If your family earns $80,000 and over, your CCS percentage will go down by 1% for each $5,000 income your family makes. You’ll either get more subsidy or have no change to your entitlement.

• If your family earns $80,000 or less, you will get an increased maximum CCS amount, from 85% to 90%.

• If your family earns $350,000 – $529,000, you will now be eligible for CCS between 0.1 -20%.

• If your family earns below $362,408 with more than one child aged 5 or under in care, you can still get a higher subsidy rate of up to 95% for one or more of your children.

The low-income limit for Additional Child Care Subsidy Transition to Work will also increase to $80,000. If you already get CCS, you don’t need to do anything to get the increased rate. We’ll apply changes to your CCS automatically.
