Oz Education Campsie raised $1425 for the Australian Cancer Council this year to show those experiencing cancer that we care. The centre raised $497.30 by hosting the Biggest Morning Tea and $184.75 through online donations. Today, every $1 donation collected was matched by the Oz Education Group to help the Cancer Council achieve its mission to create a cancer-free future.
On the week of The Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea from 23 to 24 May 2023, Oz Education Campsie‘s community got together to make a difference for those impacted by cancer.
“Hosting the Biggest Morning Tea was a fun and rewarding way to join others across Australia to support the event and help save lives,” said Campsie’s Centre Director Natalie Burgett.
“It was wonderful to see our community coming together to show care to people impacted by cancer. The event also enabled our educators and parents to role model positive values of care and responsibility, which empowers children to learn about the world and help create a better future.”
Campsie centre’s Chef Najwa prepared a beautiful spread of freshly baked pastries, scones and other delightful tasty treats each day to raise much-needed funds for those experiencing cancer. Ready to greet parents and children each morning with freshly home-baked goods was Natalie and her team of educators.
It was heart-warming to see our community gather together and get to know each other better over morning tea while helping to advance cancer research and prevention programs for our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
